<p>A pneumatic tire having improved driving stability on a wet road surface. The land ratio of shoulder portions (Sh) of the tread (2) is in the range of 57-72%, and the land ratio of a center portion (Ce) is in the range of 40-55%. A block row having center blocks (6) is formed in the center portion (Ce). The center blocks (6) each have a shape having a width gradually decreasing from that axial position of the center block at which the block width (BW) is maximum toward both the leading end and the trailing end, relative to the rotation direction of the tire, of the center block. Each center block (6) has, at the leading end thereof relative to the rotation direction, a head portion (6a) having a sharp head pointing the leading end, and also has, at the trailing end thereof, a recess (6b) smoothly recessed toward the leading end.In each center block (6), the ratio (BL/BW) between the maximum width (BW) and the maximum length (BL) in the circumferential direction is in the range of 1.00-1.20.</p> |
