METHOD FOR BONDING JOINT SEALING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE

A method for bonding a joint sealing honeycomb structure in which a joint sealing honeycomb structure having different size of a cell opening in one and the other end faces is arranged such that the end face on one side faces to the imaging apparatus side, an operation of picking up the image of the end face on the one side while irradiating the end face with light and for confirming whether the structure of the end face thus picked up is identical to a preset structure of the one end face or not is performed for a plurality of joint sealing honeycomb structures, and then the side surfaces of the plurality of joint sealing honeycomb structures are bonded such that the end faces on one side face the same direction based on the structure of the end face thus confirmed. The direction of the end face of a part of joint sealing honeycomb structures can be prevented efficiently from being reversed when a plurality of joint sealing honeycomb structures having different size of the cell opening in one and the other end faces are bonded.
