<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat winding type electric power storage device cell such that heat dissipation of a cell is facilitated to lower current collection resistance, it is easy to move an electrolyte in the cell, and an electrolyte of a separator hardly becomes deficient. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power storage device cell includes a flat winding electrode portion wound with beltlike positive and negative electrodes having electrode layers formed on current collecting foils with a beltlike separator interposed, a sealed container for hermetical storage, and electrode terminals connected to the current collecting foils. The electric power storage device cell further includes a side edge portion where the positive and negative electrode current collecting foils are projected from the separator in the opposite direction from an axial direction of winding and the electrode layers are not formed. The side edge portion includes a partially removed cut portion and a projection end portion, where the current collecting foils are electrically connected in a stacking direction and also electrically connect electrode terminals respectively at the projection end portion and an electrolyte reservoir coming into contact with the exposed separator is provided at the cut portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
