<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make reaction gas flow more smoothly which flows through a pipe line by the fitting direction of a butterfly valve arranged in the pipe line in a fuel cell system for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system has: a manifold 40 installed on the side surface of a fuel cell 12 and accumulating exhaust air from the fuel cell 12; an exhaust pipe line 20 connected to the manifold 40 and extending in parallel to the side surface of the fuel cell 12; and a butterfly valve 34 installed in the exhaust pipe line 20. The butterfly valve 34 is installed so that a valve axis 36 of the butterfly valve 34 is vertical to a plane 42 specified by the center 40a in the length direction of the manifold 40 and the pipe axis 20a of the exhaust pipe line 20. Accordingly, the dispersion of fluid resistance of exhaust air in the length direction of the manifold 40 is suppressed and exhaust air flows smoothly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
