<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve assembly and a pressure container that are forcibly made incapable of withstanding practical use when they reaches the end of life. <P>SOLUTION: The valve assembly 4, which is mounted detachably on the pressure container 1 for storing a fuel, includes a flow passage 42 for the fuel that communicates the inside with the outside of the pressure container 1 and a time limit type restriction device 200, which restricts the flow passage area of the flow passage 42 when the valve assembly 4 reaches the end of life. The flow passage 42 is a supply flow passage to a fuel cell 104. The time limit type restriction device 200 varies the flow passage area of the flow passage 42 by the position of a piston 203 and enables a fuel cell vehicle 100 to perform evacuation running by restricting the flow passage area so as not to close the flow passage 42 completely.
