<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear transmission having a high reliable lubrication structure restraining clogging of a strainer with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: This gear transmission (transfer device 1) comprises: a casing 2 filled with lubrication oil; shaft members (31, 34, 37) journalled by the casing 2 and transmitting power; transmission gears (51, 54, 57) provided to the shaft members (31, 34, 47), and selectively meshed with them so as to realize a predetermined gear ratio or realize a predetermined power transmission path; and lubrication oil circulation means having an oil pump 4 pumping the lubrication oil from a bottom of the casing 2 and a strainer 6 filtering the lubrication oil and circulating and supplying the lubrication oil to a lubrication object portion.
