PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet absorber which solves problems wherein the conventional ultraviolet absorber is insufficient in lubricity (ductileness) which is important in use as a sunscreen cosmetic regardless of an organic or inorganic substance, and has a low toxicity and transparency. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet absorber comprises hydrotalcites having at least 0.6μm of width, and at least 6 of aspect ratio, and combined with an organic ultraviolet absorber.
