PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of positioning, at the running of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A positioning system is constituted, such that an on-board device comprises an on-board side positioning means for obtaining a positioning data of the on-board device side, including a coordinate of the on-board positioning device side indicating the coordinate being positioned; and a transmission means for transmitting the on-board device side positioning data to the mobile terminal device. A mobile terminal device comprises a mobile device side positioning means for obtaining the mobile device side positioning data, including the mobile device side positioning coordinate, while indicating the coordinates which are being positioned; a selection means for selecting between the on-board side positioning means and/or mobile device side positioning means, on the basis of the measurement environment; and a vehicle position calculation means for calculating the vehicle position.
