PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level shifter for receiving a control signal to produce a driving voltage. SOLUTION: The level shifter includes: a storage capacitor having one end coupled to the control signal and a reference voltage, and the other end coupled to the driving voltage and an assisting voltage; and a set of selection switches for selecting one of the control signal and the reference voltage to provide to one end of the storage capacitor, and for selecting one of the driving signal and the assisting voltage to provide to the other end of the storage capacitor. Since the set of selection switches select between the reference voltage and the assisting voltage for providing to the storage capacitor, the storage capacitor is capable of boosting the voltage level of the control signal when the storage capacitor is coupled to the control signal and the driving voltage.
