PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To gather a given quantity of rod-like objects such as dried noodles or the like while arranging them in a vertical direction and aligning their end faces, to prevent a bundling tape and the rod-like objects from being damaged and broken. SOLUTION: A bundling apparatus which winds up a tape around the periphery of gathered rod-like objects for bundling is equipped with a guiding tube which passes the rod-like objects vertically and is kept rotatable around a vertical shaft, while a lower stopper plate is provided downward of the guiding tube which opens and closes a passage course, thus keeping the course closed so as to receive the rod-like objects that have been inputted into the guiding tube. An inner needle and an outer needle that can be connected to and separated from the inner needle are vertically provided in the guiding tube, while the outer needle is approximated to the inner needle so as to sandwich a tape wound around a reel in a drawable manner, whereby the guiding tube is rotated as the tape tightening the rod-like objects so that the rod-like objects are caused to rotate at the same time with the tape wound around them with the tape's overlapped part heated by a heater for melting. The portion of the tape tightened via the reel is severed by a cutter, opening the lower stopper plate while pulling the outer needle apart so as for the tape to become able to be pulled out from between the inner needle and the outer needle so that the rod-like objects are allowed to drop after being bundled.
