<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll conveying device which can control the drive rotation of a roll while giving target tension at all times by a simple constitution, and can obtain stable conveyance suppressing the skew of a recording medium, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The roll conveying device has a torsion coil spring 71 prepared between a driving transmission rod 68 of the upstream side in a driving transmission direction of a driving motor 64 and a driving shaft axis 69 of the downstream side, a torsion amount sensing means equipped with encoders 72, 73 for sensing torsion amounts of both sides of the torsion coil spring 71 and encoder sensors 74, 75, and a control means which gives predetermined back tension to a roll sheet 60 by controlling the torsion amounts of the torsion coil spring 71 on the basis of signals of the torsion amount sensing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
