<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that laser recording power determined by OPC (optimum power control) processing cannot follow great changes in outer peripheral recording characteristics, disabling normal recording, deteriorating jigger values, increasing a reproducing error rate, thus disabling output of video data. <P>SOLUTION: An average value β of modulation values at predetermined track intervals is calculated. When a modulation value β at the predetermined track interval is less than a predetermined modulation lower limit value and less than a value obtained by multiplying a modulation value α of one track of an optical disk with a predetermined rate, control is performed to execute recording by adding predetermined power to recording power set by an OPC means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
