<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control unit which drives an ac motor by an inverter and can reduce torque pulsations that occur at switchover from PWM drive to square-wave drive, and a control device for a hybrid car. <P>SOLUTION: The motor control unit 100 has a PWM drive mode in which a PWM signal is input to the inverter 8 to drive the ac motor 4 by PWM drive, and a square-wave drive mode in which a square-wave signal is input to the inverter 8 to drive the ac motor 4 by square-wave drive. Upon switching the PWM drive mode to the square-wave drive mode, a drive pulse switching unit 140 carries out switchover within a range of the maximum pulse width of a high-level pulse or a low-level pulse generated at PWM drive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
