<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator capable of quickly raising oxygen concentration without changing gas volume from its compressor. <P>SOLUTION: The oxygen concentrator, which is constituted of an adsorption bed filled with an adsorbent that selectively adsorbs nitrogen relative to oxygen, a pressurized-air feeder for feeding pressurized air to the adsorption bed, a product tank for storing oxygen gas thus prepared, and a flow control valve for controlling the flow rate of oxygen gas being supplied to a user, and adsorbs away nitrogen in ambient air and supplies un-adsorbed oxygen to a user at a selected set flow-rate, is characterized by further comprising a controlling means that causes the pressurized-air feeder to feed pressurized air to the adsorption bed at a flow rate set to cause oxygen gas to flow at a selected set flow-rate, and causes the flow control valve to fully open or causes the same to allow oxygen gas to flow at the maximum set-flow rate of the apparatus, upon starting the apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
