<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new technique concerning handling of data received after the validity period of the license of a facsimile function in a facsimile apparatus which provides the facsimile function to a cooperative image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus for providing a facsimile function to cooperative image forming apparatus 2 and 3 connected to a network receives data to be transferred to the cooperative image forming apparatus 2 or 3 by facsimile via a public line, the image forming apparatus determines whether a license of the cooperative image forming apparatus 2 or 3 is valid or invalid and controls as to whether to transfer data based on determination results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
