<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater, a control method and a modification method of a hot water supply system capable of modifying the hot water supply system comprising a plurality of storage heating tanks for storing and heating the water for hot water supply, without affecting a hot water supply capacity. <P>SOLUTION: This water heater 1 installed in the hot water supply system 11 comprising the plurality of storage heating tanks, includes a heater 2 used as a heater for compensating the degradation of heating capacity of the hot water supply system 11 caused by separation of the storage heating tanks 12B excluding a part 12A of the plurality of storage heating tanks 12 from the hot water supply system 11, to heat the water flowing down from an existing elevated water tank 21, and not having a function for storing the water, a flow channel for allowing the water heated by the heater 2 to flow to the remaining storage heating tank 12A, and a control device 3 for controlling the amount of water flowing in the flow channel so that the fluctuation of a temperature of the water supplied from the storage heating tank 12A to a hot water supply destination caused by the fluctuation of the temperature of the water heated by the heater 2, is kept within a prescribed allowable range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
