PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging control device designed to suppress meaningless wear of a body to be charged. SOLUTION: The device comprises: a first alternate current determination part; a prohibition part; and a second alternate current determination part. The first alternate current determination part applies a dummy alternate current component to a charge body which gives charges to the body to be charged by superimposing and applying direct current and alternate current of current or voltage thereto at a plurality of intensities, directly or indirectly detects a direct current component of current carried from the charge body to the body to be charged, and determines an alternate current component value to be applied to the body to be charged based on the detection result of direct current component. When the detection result of current by the first alternate current determination part shows a predetermined detection result showing deterioration of the body to be charged, the prohibition part prohibits the determination of alternate current component value by the first alternate current determination part, and when the determination is prohibited by the prohibition part, the second alternate current determination part determines the alternate current component value based on information different from the detection result of direct current component instead of the first alternate current determination part.
