PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image management system for effectively utilizing a medical image in a database while preventing leakage of personal information. SOLUTION: In the medical image management system, a terminal device 1 has control means 4 including use purpose setting means for a user such as a doctor diagnosing a subject to optionally set the purpose of the use when image data and personal data transmitted from a medical imaging apparatus 1 are stored in an image data storing means 5; determining means for determining whether the personal information added to the image data should be concealed or not according to the purpose of use set by the use purpose setting means; and means for copying the image data determined by the determining means to conceal the personal information and storing the copied image data as the data of a fictitious subject in a holder previously prepared in the image data storing means 5.
