PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scale for a displacement measuring device for achieving accurate measurement by suppressing the bending of a scale. SOLUTION: This scale 100 for the displacement measuring device includes the substantially rectangular parallelepiped scale 10, a holder 20 disposed under the scale 10, and first to third sliding support sections 30A-30C for supporting the scale 10 slidably with respect to the holder 20. The first sliding support section 30A can slide the scale 10 in the lateral direction of the scale 10. The second and third sliding support sections 30B and 30C can slide the scale 10 in the longitudinal direction of the scale 10. The first sliding support section 30A is disposed at a position near the center in the longitudinal direction of one side surface extending in the longitudinal direction of the scale 10. The second and third sliding support sections 30B and 30C are disposed at positions near both ends of the longitudinal direction of the other side surface extending in the longitudinal direction of the scale 10, respectively.
