PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which ultrafine fibers obtained by an electrospinning method are stably obtained from a high-viscosity polymer solution with high efficiency. SOLUTION: In the method for producing the ultrafine fibers obtained by the electrospinning method is provided. In the process, the electrospinning method using a metal material having a critical surface tension (γc) value of 60.0 dyn/cm or less for an electric field application part (a nozzle part for producing the ultrafine fibers) is provided.
