Provided herein according to some embodiments of the invention are substituted alkylmetal solutions that include (a) a substituted alkylmetal compound of the formula of M-CH2-W(Ra)(Rb)(Rc) at a concentration of greater than 1.0M; (b) a hydrocarbon solvent; and (c) an amine cosolvent. Also provided herein are methods of making the same.
