The invention relates to a method for the production of a snack, and a snack produced according to the method. The method for the production of a snack comprising a slice of bread, comprises the steps of a) shaping a thin flat slice made of a bread dough, having a granularity of a maximum of 3 mm; b) baking the thin flat slice such that the residual water content is 10 to 15%; c) steam-treating the baked thin flat slice using water steam having a temperature of a maximum of 140°C, until the slice has become ductile; d) bending the longitudinal edges of the ductile slice into a U-shape; e) inserting a filling into the U-shape of the ductile slice; f) folding the longitudinal edges of the ductile slice around the filling such that the filling is enclosed and cannot fall out; g) shrink-wrapping the snack into a foil using inert gas. |
