Disclosed are a method for stabilizing a phenothiazine oxidation color former-containing aqueous solution, and a stabilized phenothiazine oxidation color former-containing aqueous solution. Specifically disclosed is a method for stabilizing a phenothiazine oxidation color former-containing aqueous solution, which is characterized by adding a surfactant (B) and a chelating agent (C), which is selected from diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid, diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid, bis(2-aminoethyl)ethyleneglycol-N,N,N',N'-tetraacetic acid and salts of those acids, into a phenothiazine oxidation color former-containing aqueous solution (A).
