HEAD SLIDER EVALUATION METHOD

A method for evaluating the thermal-stress characteristic of a head slider comprising an element part and a heater which projects the element part. The method is characterized by evaluating the thermal-stress characteristic by repetitions of a heating step of heating the element part by energizing the heater and a measurement step of detecting the noise output from the element part by energizing the element part or evaluating the thermal-stress characteristic by repetitions of the heating step of heating the element part by energizing the heater and a measurement step of detecting the resistance of the element part.
