摘要 An apparatus and a method for preheating a submerged entry nozzle in continuous casting are provided to stop the supply of heat when the submerged entry nozzle is preheated to the set temperature and inform the operator of it, thus removing the inconvenience of confirming the preheating state with naked eyes. An apparatus for preheating a submerged entry nozzle in continuous casting comprises a temperature detecting unit(50), a control unit(60), a display unit(80), and a heat source blocking unit(90). The temperature detecting unit, consisting of two or more temperature sensors(50a,50b,50c), measures the temperature of the submerged entry nozzle(10) by section. The control unit digitalizes the measured temperature to be stored, and outputs a heat source cut-off control signal when the measured temperature exceeds the set temperature range. The display unit indicates the stored temperature value. The heat source blocking unit stops the supply of heat to the submerged entry nozzle when the heat source cut-off control signal is input from the control unit.
