PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce side echoes arriving at the periphery of an abutting part from the inside of a living body in a ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: An absorbent 12 is provided on a main body 10. The side echoes 103 arriving at the periphery of the main body 10 from the inside of the living body are effectively absorbed by the absorbent 12. The absorbent 12 is provided with a skirt shape whose cross section is spread from an upper side to a lower side. The absorbent 12 can be constituted freely attachably and detachably and the absorbent 12 can be turned to the structure of changing acoustic impedance continuously or stepwise. The various kinds of the absorbents are prepared and selectively utilized as needed. |
