A manufacturing method of coating paper is provided to offer unique white paper gloss, rough touch feeling, and flexibility with a Japan traditional style and to improve value of commodities. Coating paper includes a coating layer having pigment and an adhesive as a main component on one side at least of a material. Air permeability of the material is 8 second or less based on JIS P 8117 measuring time of the air 100ml in the presence of constant pressure. Volumetric density of the paper is 0.3g ~ 06/cm^3. The pigment includes a hollow organic former of which average particle size is 0.8mum or less, of 15~80 mass % among whole pigment. The volumetric density of the paper is 0.6g/cm^3 or less from weight per area and thickness of the paper. |
