STIMULUS-RESPONSIVE BIODEGRADABLE POLYMERS AND METHODS OF PREPARATION

A stimulus-responsive biodegradable polymer is provided to ensure bio compatibility and biodegradation property, and to proceed to chemical and physical changes for specific stimulus due to a stimulus-responsive pendant group. A stimulus-responsive biodegradable polymer comprises a biodegradable polymer skeleton and a stimulus-responsive pendant group attached to the biodegradable polymer skeleton. The biodegradable polymer skeleton comprises poly(amino ester) or poly(amido amine). The poly(amido amine) comprises selectively disulfide linkage within the skeleton. The biodegradable polymer skeleton comprises at least one secondary amine and at least one tertiary amine before the stimulus-responsive pendant group is attached.
