A method for operating an image device with panel timing data and the image device using the same are provided to prevent a maker from inputting the panel timing data to a source directly by applying the panel timing data stored in a VSC board to a display means. If power of an image device is turned on, panel timing data stored in a module is read(S301). It is checked whether the panel timing data is matched with data stored in a storage means of a VSC(Video Signal Controller) board, which IC connected to the image device(S302). If the panel timing data is matched, the panel timing data is applied to a display screen(S304). If the panel timing data does not matched, the data stored in the storage means of the VSC board and timing data are applied to the display screen. |
