The device (8) has an optical displaying unit (6) and an acoustic displaying unit (14) for generating a warning signal, which steps in a function if a torque or removal rate exerted on a tooth which is to be treated exceeds a preset threshold value. The unit (6) is realized such that light of instrument changes color during exceedance of the value. The unit (14) is realized as a buzzer or a loudspeaker, which emits an acoustic warning signal during exceedance of the value, where the value is a function of spraying water dispensed from a dental hand piece (1). |
