A terminal device and a method having a plurality of CA applications in a broadcasting system are provided to search the CA application corresponding to receive broadcasting among the stored CA applications and offer the searched CA application. A security micro unit(122) extracts a key for descrambling a broadcasting signal by using a selected CA application. A controller(114) checks whether the corresponding CA application is stored in the security micro unit by searching a CA application table when a charged contents service is requested. The controller requests the security micro unit to select the corresponding CA application when the corresponding CA application is stored in the security micro unit.
