摘要 A method for constructing metal plates of barrier for liquefied natural gas storage system is provided to improve reliability of the barrier structure by offsetting the tensile stress by thermal shrinkage of the metal plates with compressive stress operating on corrugation of the metal plates so as to prevent cracking of the insulation layer and the welded part. In a liquefied natural gas storage system, a barrier(10) contacting liquefied natural gas is provided to store liquefied natural gas and a plurality of metal plates(12) with corrugation(14) are constructed to absorb contraction and expansion due to thermal deformation. The interfaces of the metal plates are welded to form a welded part(16). A compressive stress attenuating the tensile stress working on the welded part at ultralow temperature is applied to the welded part at the room temperature by deforming the corrugation.
