A motor for a compressor and a reciprocation compressor having the same are provided to prevent the efficiency reduction of a motor according to the use of aluminum coil by appropriately designing the curvature of a slot part in comparison with the width of a teeth part. A motor for a compressor comprises a stator(210) and a coil(240). The stator has a plurality of teeth parts(212) and slot parts(213). The teeth part is longitudinally formed in a radial direction. The slot part is concavely formed between teeth parts. The slot part has outer surfaces curved at predetermined curvature. The curvature of the outer surface is enlarged as the width of the teeth part becomes smaller. The coil is wound in the teeth part and slot part of the stator and is partially made of aluminum material to reduce material cost.
