The invention relates to an apparatus for the pulsed emission of a laser beam (6), said apparatus comprising : a laser bar (2) mounted in an optical cavity consisting of a crystal of neodymium-doped yttrium and aluminium oxide; selection means (4, 5) for enhancing the laser beam emission at a wavelength of 1.34 mm; a pump lamp (10) mounted in the optical cavity and contiguous with the laser bar; excitation means (11) for supplying the pump lamp (10) so that it can produce intermittent light emissions. According to the invention, the pulse signal (S) generated by the excitation means (11) for supplying the pump lamp (10), includes for each pulse (I) at least one first hashing pulse (i) having a duration (ti) which is longer than the duration of the following hashing pulses belonging to the same pulse. |
