Door edge protection device

The device has a door edge protection profile (5) guided movably at two points opposite to a motor vehicle door i.e. side door, where the points lie in a row in a longitudinal direction of the door. The door edge protection profile is driven by eccentric levers (7a, 7b) that are supported in the door in a rotatable manner. The door edge protection profile is guided on the door by the eccentric levers. The eccentric levers implement a rotary movement between 250 and 290 degrees. A drive acts on an eccentric axle of the eccentric levers.
