<p>A textile fibre drafting cot has a working surface made of an oil-resistant vulcanized synthetic rubber having intimately incorporated therewith polyvinyl alcohol. Specified synthetic rubbers are butadiene or isoprene copolymers with acrylonitrile, and polychloroprene. The polyvinyl alcohol is present preferably in amounts from 10 to 100 parts per 100 of synthetic rubber. The polyvinyl alcohol may be partially or completely hydrolysed polyvinyl acetate. The usual fillers, plasticizers, tackifiers and vulcanization ingredients may also be present.</p> |
