<p>A method of driving a plasma display apparatus is disclosed. The method of driving the plasma display apparatus including a first electrode, a second electrode and a third electrode, includes generating a first surface discharge during a reset period of a first subfield, generating a second surface discharge between the first electrode and the second electrode during the reset period of the first subfield, and generating a first opposite discharge between the first electrode and the third electrode during the reset period of the first subfield. The first surface discharge is generated by supplying a voltage of a first polarity to the first electrode and by supplying a voltage of a second polarity to the second electrode during the reset period of the first subfield.
