A film carrier tape of a liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to commonly use output wires of odd-numbered and even-numbered individual devices on the film carrier tape such as a roll-type TCP or COF. Output lines(143) are formed on a base film(140) at certain intervals. Input lines(142) are formed by being individually separated from both sides of the output lines. A test pad part(B) is positioned in a middle domain of the output lines. An overcoat layer is formed on the base film, so that both ends of the output lines and both end parts of the input lines are exposed to the outside. Driving ICs are individually mounted on both ends and both end parts of the exposed output lines and input lines, for electric connection.
