The present invention refers to a percussion instrument design to perform in a simultaneous manner instrumental and body percussion, which is mainly formed by three components: a resonant acoustic box, a resonant percussive base and a support structure for the acoustic base (Fig. 1). The purpose of the present invention is to provide a percussion instrument that allows a musician located in a standing position over the resonant base to use the feet for striking the same as well as the hands for striking the acoustic box. The acoustic box is characterised in that it has four percussion surfaces, the first being designed to be directly struck by the hands, the second to be struck by drumsticks and the two remaining surfaces having a lower surface being indistinctively struck. The support structure is useful for supporting the acoustic box, as well as for locating the same at different heights and rotating it 360° so as to strike any of the surfaces thereof at any desired angle. The tec hnical possibilities for performing the inventive musical instrument are widen by coupling a similar percussive base at the opposite side of the first base and arranging the acoustic box symmetrically at the central part in order to be performed by two percussionist musicians, (Fig. 2).
