APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR POWER AMPLIFICATION TO REDUCE HIGH FREQUENCY LOSS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATON SYSTEM

A power amplifier for reducing the high-frequency loss in a wireless communication system and a method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of an envelop amplifier. The first switching amplifier(450) supplies the current of a low-frequency component to a switching mode power amplifier. The second switching amplifier(460) is parallel connected to the first switching amplifier, and supplies a portion of the current of a high-frequency component to the switching mode power amplifier. A voltage amplifier(422) supplies the rest current of the high-frequency component to the switching mode power amplifier. When the different between the whole current or voltage, supplied to the switching mode power amplifier and the current or voltage which the first switching amplifier supplies to the switching mode power amplifier is a threshold value or greater, the second switching amplifier supplies a corresponding current to the switching mode power amplifier.
