Preparation of test signals for testing the comprehensibility of acoustic signals from a safety alarm system

The unit (120a) has a control device (122) coupled with a center (110) of an electro-acoustic security system (100). The control device is arranged in such a manner that a test signal e.g. noise or voice signal, for testing perceivability of acoustic signals is supplied based on a request signal from the center, where the acoustic signals are reflected from the unit. A memory unit (130) is connected with the control device, and stores the test signal. An evaluating device evaluates the test signal that corresponds to a standard European Norm (EN) 60268-16. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hazard warning system comprising a peripheral unit and a center (2) a method for supplying test signals for testing of acoustic signals emitted from a peripheral unit.
