A radio communication device transmits interrogation radio wave to unspecified radio tags (ST5). When specifying a radio tag which returns a response radio wave for the interrogation radio wave (ST7), the device transmits a processing radio wave to the specified radio tag (ST9). In this case, transmission power of the processing radio wave is always set larger than transmission power of the interrogation radio wave.
