A display device is provided to implement an ultra-small projection optical engine by using a compact projection lighting optical system having a straight optical path. A collimating lens(140) collimates color lights received from different angles to parallel light between an optical source unit(110) and a transparent display panel(120). A plurality of diffraction lattices(150,160) are arranged in parallel to a path of the light color between the collimating lens and the transparent display panel, and refract and pass one of the color lights alternatively. A successive refraction driver(170) operates a plurality of diffraction lattice in synchronization with the light source unit.
