A damping shim for a disc-type brake system having superior flatness is provided to minimize an area in which the steel material, forming a damping shim, is plastically deformed. A damping shim(300) for a disc-type brake system having superior flatness comprises a section piece(340) formed by curve-cutting a part of the damping shim to outside at a fixed angle. The section piece comprises: a bent part extended from the other area of the damping shim; and a tip-end part in which a part of the damping shim is cut. The damping shim comprises 2 section pieces. The section piece is formed to be symmetrical to each other based on the central line of the damping shim.
