METHOD FOR BSCCO SUPERCONDUCTING TUBE OF HIGH DENSITY

A method for manufacturing high density BSCCO superconducting tubes is provided to induce the improvement in critical characteristics to show excellent texture and high density through a mechanical process and rotation-heat treatment. A method for manufacturing high density BSCCO superconducting tubes comprises the following steps of: fusing Bi, Sr, Ca and Cu in a ratio of 2:2:1:2 to obtain initial powder; inputting molten material into a mold and hardening the material; heat-treating the material while rotating it; re-treating the material with heat; and processing the material mechanically. The molten material consists of 6-45wt% of SrSO4 and Bi, Sr, Ca and Cu in a ratio of 2:2:1:2.
