A device and a method for displaying a map, and a capturing device are provided to easily display information such as a capturing position by quickly obtaining image information corresponding to a mesh without searching image information corresponding to the image information from each mesh. An information recorder stores an image signal of an image captured by a capturing unit(12) as image information by matching with capture position information generated from a position information generator(13). An information storage unit(14) stores map information for displaying a map image. A classification information recorder generates capture classification information by dividing a map region into meshes having different sizes, and classifying the mesh based on the capture position information. A controller(31) discriminates the image information of each mesh based on the capture position information and sets up a capture ID mark in a position of the discriminated mesh.
