A remote control system for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to prevent discharging of battery because repetition of the sleep state and wake-up is avoided even when a wrong signal is received in a RF receiver. A remote control system for a vehicle comprises a RF(Radio Frequency) receiver(3) which receives the signal transmitted from the transmitter which operator holds, and a BCM(Body Control Module)(5) which is delivered with the signal transmitted from the RF receiver. The RF receiver includes a storage unit(7) and a determination unit(9) which determines whether the transmitted signal is registered. In the BCM, a plurality of controllers(11) and a plurality of actuators(13) are connected to the CAN(Car Area Network). |
