VIRTUAL MACHINE MONITOR AND MULTI-PROCESSOR SYSTEM

A virtual machine monitor and a multiprocessor system using an assignment procedure part assigning a processor and a memory to a virtual server are provided to optimize the allocation of the resource about the virtual server through the physical location information of obtained I/O device according to the assignment policy of the resource designated by the create request. A physical hardware information acquisition unit(300) acquires the configuration information of the hardware including the physical position information of the hardware. A receipt unit receives a generation request including the number of the processors of the virtual server, memory quantity and allocation policy of input output device and resource. An allocation processing unit(800) allocates the I/O device to the virtual server based on the generation request. The assignment procedure part assigns the processor and memory to the virtual server in order that the assigned policy is satisfied.
