A display unit in which viewing angle characteristics such as color shift and luminance unevenness depending on the viewing angle are improved and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. A display unit includes a driving panel having a plurality of light emitting devices arranged in a grid on a device substrate, a sealing panel including a sealing substrate, and a transparent resin layer which is sandwiched between the sealing panel and the driving panel. The transparent resin layer has a thickness L1 satisfying Mathematical formula 1 $L_1<=\frac{\left\{\left(L_{\mathrm{PITCH}}-L_{\mathrm{CF}}\right)+\left(L_{\mathrm{CF}}-L_{\mathrm{EL}}\right)/2\right\}+\mathrm{HK}}{\tan \left\{{\sin }^{-1}\left(\frac{1}{n}\right)\right\}}.$
