CARBONACEOUS UNSHAPED REFRACTORIES USING SURFACE-TREATED OXIDIZED AGGREGATE AND METHOD OF PREPARING THEREOF

An unshaped carbonaceous refractories using surface-treated oxidized aggregate and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to induce a chemical reaction between oxide aggregate and a binding material and to show excellent durability. A method for manufacturing unshaped carbonaceous refractories using surface-treated oxidized aggregate comprises the following steps of: mixing and agitating a binding material of a carbon precursors or synthetic resin with oxide aggregate in a solvent; and separating the solvent from the mixture. The components of the binding material serving as the carbon precursors are coal-based pitch or petroleum-based pitch. The synthetic resin represents phenol, furan or epoxy. The surface-treatment indicates wet or dry surface-treatment. The solvent is one or more solvents selected among acetone, THF and toluene.
